Behavior Management Assistant (ADSIS Para), North Star and Oneka

Hourly Rate/Salary Range: Paraeducator Agreement Level III, 20.61 per hr

Start Date:  Approximate start date, March 27, 2023

Work Week: 6.5 hours per day, shared between North Star and Oneka Elementary.

Student Level:  K-5 

Positions Summary: 

Supports building student social/emotional and behavior needs with specific interventions. Performs intermediate human support work assisting classroom teachers by working with students individually or in small groups, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the moderate supervision of the Building Principal and School Psychologist.

Education and /or Experience:

High school diploma or GED and moderate experience working with children
Associates/Technical degree preferred.

Special Requirements:

• Moderate experience working with children. 
• Must have either an AA/AS degree, completed 60 semester credits, or pass MN Parapro test.
• Training in Blood Borne Pathogens upon hire.
• Training in Crisis Prevention Intervention within 6-12 months upon hire as needed for program.
