Candidates
- Music education teaching license, emphasis in K-12 Band
- Experience teaching beginning elementary Band students/classes
- Conducting beginning elementary Band groups
- Elementary music and instructional techniques
- Beginning Band method books and grade level appropriate Band literature
- Grade level scope, sequence and required skill sets
- Proficient on a woodwind and/or brass instrument(s)
- Proficient on embouchure and playing the following instruments – flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet and trombone
- Basic instrument repair and maintenance, familiarity with local music stores
- Leading students through the entire process and completion of musical performance
Job Summary
Seven Hills seeks a Band Kids Club Director at its Burnsville Campus. The primary duties of this position involve part-time elementary instrumental music teaching (Morning Kids Club, grades 4 and 5 – before school, two days a week, January 13 – May 26, with one performance), collaboration with music educators on staff to plan and teach student woodwind and brass instruments, perform basic instrument repair, and prepare students for performances.
