Job Summary:
This is a Birth to Three special education teaching position with the Sherburne and Northern Wright Special Education Cooperative.¬† The teacher will work with families and students ages¬†birth to three¬† They will provide early intervention services during home-visits in our three member districts ‚Äď Becker, Big Lake, and Monticello.¬† The teacher will collaborate with other service providers to best meet the needs of our students and families.


  • Licensed in the State of Minnesota to teach Early Childhood Special Education (B-Age 6)
  • Valid Minnesota Driver‚Äôs License

Essential Skills Required:

  • Must be able to assure and implement state and federal laws, statutes, rules and regulations pertaining to special education
  • Must be able to complete and implement all due process and timeline requirements¬†in special education including Part C and Part B
  • Experience working with infants and toddlers with special needs and their families
  • Team oriented approach when working with students, colleagues, families, and administrators
  • Effective communication and teaming skills, both verbally and in writing, with students, families, other service providers, administrators, and staff
  • Willingness to be flexible
  • Excellent attendance
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Position requires frequent travel within service area for home visits
  • Knowledge and application of technology and assistive technology
  • Skilled in adapting activities to the individual needs of students to facilitate learning¬†and to assist¬†in meeting individual learning goals
  • Maintain confidentiality of information about students and families
  • Experience working with diverse students and families
