Position:Â Â AVID Lead Tutor
Work Schedule:Â Â Part-time, up to 15 hours per week
Start Date:Â Â Fall 2024
Pay: $23.69 /Â hour

Required Qualifications:
   * Excellent verbal and written communicaiton skills in both formal and casual settings
   * Demonstrate intercultural competence with students, families and staff
   * Ability to work effectively as part of a team
   * Ability to occasionally work flexible hours before/after the school day
   * Proficient with technology
Preferred Qualifications:
   * 5 or more years experience as an AVID Tutor
   * Familiarity with secondary educational structures of leadership, grade levels and courses
   * AVID PATH training or Summer Institute training
   * Experience with site improvement processes and/or staff development
Responsibilities:
   * Meet regularly with AVID District Director, AVID Coordinators, AVID Elective Teachers and AVID Lead tutors to   align practices
   * Conduct Tutor training, as needed or requested
   * Facilitate Tutor collaborative meetings, as needed or requested
   * Advocate for AVID support and learning materials, as needed or requested
   * Model and scaffold AVID tutorial processes and strategies, as needed or requested
   * Ability to cover for absent/missing Tutors, as needed or requested
   * Promote, advocate and implement building-wide Writing, Inquiry, Collaboration, Organization and Reading strategies, as needed or requested
