SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Coaches have a unique position in the school community and have an opportunity to provide leadership for all school personnel by their actions while participating in the athletic program. It is important that this unique position for leadership be utilized in a responsible manner.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Actively coach off-season and in-season workouts, as well as the middle school program.
- Work with head coach to design and implement programming for off-season athletes and in-season teams.
- Maintain high standards for the care and respect of the training spaces.
- Know, understand, and implement proper form and technique for strength training exercises as well as mobility, speed development and agility/change of direction.
- Maintain self-control at all times. The weight room is an educational space and conduct should align with educational standards.
- Reinforce the use principles of sportsmanship and fair play with athletes when discussion their performance, as well as other teams.
