Assistant Head Custodial Engineer – B Building

Anticipated Start Date: ASAP

Closing Date: Candidates will be reviewed upon submission with selection starting no sooner than five working days following the posting.  The position will remain open until a suitable candidate has been found. 

Work Week: 8 hours per day M-F (260 Days Per Year)
Shift:  B Shift (2:00-10:00 p.m.)

License required:  2nd Class C Boiler’s License or higher, may consider Special Class License if someone with a required license doesn’t apply with the knowlegde that you will upgradre your license. 

Student Level: Elementary

Position Summary:
Performs intermediate skilled trades work planning, organizing and supervising the maintenance and repair and cleaning of school buildings, interior and exterior and related equipment, directing the work of custodial staff, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the limited supervision of the Building Principal, Head Custodial Engineer and Building Operations Supervisor.  Continuous oversight is exercised over Custodian and Licensed Custodian.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED and considerable experience working with boilers and building maintenance.

Special Requirements:
Boiler’s license as required by the MN Dept of Labor for boiler at assigned building (2nd Class C or higher) Valid driver’s license in the State of Minnesota
