This position is for new coaches with less than one year experience.

This position will begin as a side by side position along with a more experienced coach and may continue for varying amounts of time based on the individual development of the coach and needs of the program.

This person has 1 or more years of experience coaching gymnastics.Â

They are able to lead a class of an age appropriate size on their own.

They can help assist with set up without additional guidance on the lesson plan.
~Assistant Coach:

Key holder, opening and closing to all programming that may happen in the gym with the ability to fill the role of gymnastics supervisor on a situational basis.

Can fill a room lead position during CE classes, pre-team, Xcel team and high school

Key holder, opening and closing to all programming that may happen in the gym with the ability to fill the role of gymnastics supervisor on a situational basis. In this role that would include operating both high school class and Xcel team without a supervisor present on a need be basis.

Can fill a room lead position during CE classes, pre-team, Xcel team and high school class.

May be involved in lesson planning, can independently interpret lesson plans assigned to them and can do a full room set up unassisted.

This position requires the ability to assist in training new community ed class coaches.

Job Summary:  Assists and leads instruction for students in the fundamental gymnastics skills and training necessary for them to realize a degree of success in our CE group gymnastics classes and/or competative youth Xcel teams. Some coaches assist with the training of High School age gymanstics during off-season training programs
Qualifications:Â Must be at least 15 years of age, experience in gymnastics, evidence of ability to teach fundamental gymnastics skills and knowledge of spotting skills. Â Positive, enthusiatic, respectful attitude. Â Ability to relate well to children and teens as well as parents. Â Ability to work in a collaborative coaching atmosphere. Â Commitment to program’s high standards. Â Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
Compensation: Starting range- $13.84 – $25.00 per hour, depending on position.Â
