Assistant Director of Finance

Summary:
To provide leadership and coordination of district financial planning, budget, and management functions. Ensure accounting procedures conform to generally accepted accounting principles; provide world-class customer service to Finance and Operations Office internal and external customers. Commitment to the education of ALL students as the primary responsibility of the district and possession of integrity and reliability in relationships with all members of the public.

Daily Schedule:
7:00 am – 4:00 pm, M-F

Days per year:    
261 (12-month position)

Rate of Pay:          
The salary for this position ranges from $133,128 to $144,266, depending on experience and qualifications. New hires will typically start at the entry-level rate within the salary range, while candidates with relevant experience may be placed at a higher starting rate, up to the maximum of the salary range. Salary decisions will be made on a case-by-case basis, considering the individual’s experience and the district’s budget.

Eligible employees also receive paid time off in accordance with the provisions outlined in the employee work agreement.

Qualifications Required / Preferred:

Required:

  • Minimum of three (3) years of related experience required.
  • Master’s degree required in finance, business, accounting, or related field.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially spreadsheets to layout accounting tables and perform complex calculations
  • Understand basic business processes (payroll, purchasing, accounting, accounts payable) and detailed business requirements (financial reporting, budgeting, internal control and statistics).

Preferred:

  • CPA License
