POSITION TITLE: Alternative Learning Center (ALC) Special Education Teacher FTE 1.0
LOCATION: SMEC Education Center, Austin, MN

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Current licensure by MDE in a special education teaching area, such as ABS, and a valid driver’s license.
DESCRIPTION: SMEC is a special education cooperative composed of 7 school districts whose focus is to discover, develop, and achieve our students’ greatest potential. We are looking to hire a teacher to work in an Alternative Learning Center setting, to aid high school aged students with academic development in a structured and unique individualized environment. These individuals will help students explore their career possibilities and lead them to a more vibrant future. English/Language Arts focus preferred.
PAY AND BENEFITS: Competitive pay – based on skills and experience. Competitive benefits are available to full-time employees and part-time employees who work at least 30 hours per week.
