Activity Adviser Job Description:
Activity advisers are responsible for providing general supervision, direction, and counseling to student leadership of the
sponsored activity.
GOALS:
• Provide adult supervision and direction to the sponsored activity.
• Supervise club administrative requirements.
• Support the goals and objectives of the activity.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Coordinate and schedule activities.
• Schedule meetings.
• Serve as a resource person.
• Supervise handling and accounting of money.
• Supervise and chaperone activities.
• Consider activity risk factors to protect the school district.
• Supervise the election of officers.
• Supervise fundraising activities.
• Supervise transportation arrangements.
• Guidance in problem-solving and conflict resolution.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
• Rapport with students
• Interest in student activities
• Willingness to spend time and effort.

SUPERVISION:
Primary Adviser Advisers are encouraged to:
• Attend appropriate adviser training workshops.
• Receive a standard first aid/CPR card.
• Complete a self-evaluation at the end of the school year.
• Have members complete a year-end evaluation of the club or
organization and activities performed yearly.
