Compensation: BA Step 1 $46,060 – MA60 Step 6 $69,040
Benefits: Burnsville Education Association Contract 

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Provide Advanced Learning instruction focused on helping our students to be future ready by embedding into our instruction the 4 Cs of 21st Century Learning: Communication, Collaboration, Critical Thinking and Creativity.
  • Provide Research projects focus on inquiry and creating solutions to real-world problems.
  • Implement K-5 Pathways experiences.
  • Utilize instructional resources and technology equitably.
    Embrace and encourage all members of the school community
  • Foster a supportive environment for individual growth
  • Understand personal biases impacting the learning environment
  • Value cultural diversity and adapt education accordingly
  • Prepare students for future challenges through rigorous academics
  • Develop a culture of trust where all stakeholders shape decisions
  • Foster student agency and personalized learning journeys
  • Build experiences that lead students to passion and purpose

License / Education Requirements: 

  • MN teaching license required
  • Experience working cross-culturally and/or commitment to work toward improving one’s own cultural competence, i.e., valuing difference/diversity, recognizing personal limitations and one’s skills and expertise, and having the desire to learn in these areas
