Adult Education Teacher

Position:
Adult Basic Education Teacher:  English Prep I and II
Riverland Community College – Albert Lea, Austin, and Owatonna (travel between campuses)

Position Summary:
Provide direct instruction to adult students.  Responsibilities include lesson planning and instruction, conducting ongoing assessment, monitoring student attendance, collaborating with other staff, and keeping student records. 

Qualifications:
Valid MN K-12 teaching license. Bi-lingual skills desired. Demonstrated use of 21st Century strategies and approaches to ensure all learners achieve at high levels.  Previous experience in working with adult learners in an interactive, results-oriented environment preferred.  Strong communication and organizational skills.  Ability to be flexible and function well in a busy environment with high expectations for students and staff.  Digital literacy skills required, including integration of digital literacy into the student learning experience. Consistent and reliable attendance.

FTE/Schedule:
August – December, 2023
Tuesday and Thursday, 5:00-8:30 pm
First 6 weeks teach alone, Second 6 weeks co-teach with a Rivlerland instructor
 
Salary:
$29.00 – $33.00 plus mileage
