Engage, connect, and make a difference by joining our Community Education team as an ACE Enrichment Instructor!

Duties and Responsiblities:

  • To provide a well-organized and smooth functioning after school program offering math, literacy, science, skill building, enrichment opportunities and other academic needs. 
  • Help students strategize how to organize and break down school work in manageable pieces. Help develop organizational skills.
  • Assist students with academic help.
  • Promote teamwork, customer service and a positive image of the program to peers, children, parents, school personnel and public at large.
  • Serve as a role model for parents and staff on effective/appropriate adult/child interaction and offer guidance and resources appropriately.
  • Collaborate with district and special education and middle school staff when necessary to address the needs of a particular student.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all students and parents/guardians involved in program as well as when handling complaints regarding tutors or services.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Enrichment Coordinator or designated representative. 

Qualifications:

  • MN Teaching License preferred, but may not be required based on experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Minimum of two years experience working with youth at the middle school level preferred.
  • Ability to demonstrate team building and organizational skills.

Pay Rate:

  • MN Teaching License – $30 per hour
  • Non-License – $24.00 per hour
  • 1.5 hours/day, 4.5 hours/week
