Position:Â ABE Community Intake Liaison
Work Schedule:  Monday-Friday (flexible schedule for 25 hours/week with one evening included)
Start Date: ASAP
Pay: $24.40 to $32.94 per hour dependent on qualifications and based on the Non-Affiliated Handbook

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience to total four years.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to be flexible and function well in an environment that is busy and features an ethnically and culturally diverse population.Â
- Knowledge of and previous experience working in an Adult Education academic program.
- Ability to work with diverse populations, ESL learners, and adult learners.
- Knowledge of various technology
- Bilingual Â
- Experience and comfort with basic math skills
- Ability to work evenings as required
Responsibilities:
- Oversee intake and registration for new adult learners
- Conduct standardized testing or follow up with online informal testing
- Proctor tests (such as CASAS Goals)
- Distribute digital devices and paper packets to learners
- Coordinate mailings
- Market Adult Education Programming in the community
- Create/build collaborations with area business/government/school districts to improve job skills of low skill, low wage job seekers.
- Organize and convene meetings with local employers to build support for career pathway projects designed to meet the immediate and future needs of local and regional businesses.
- Develop short-term internship programs and longer-term apprenticeship programs for current Adult Education students in collaboration with Adult Education teachers and local businesses.
- Organize and manage special events as needed (annual College Fair, etc.)
- Other related duties as assigned.
