Description
Verndale Public School is seeking a 1.0 FTE 7-12 Minnesota-licensed Trade and Industry (T&I) teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. We are committed to providing hands-on, career-focused education to prepare students for success in the construction and manufacturing industries.
Responsibilities:
- Teach courses in construction careers, manufacturing careers, or related fields, including (but not limited to):
- Construction and Architecture: Woods and carpentry, cabinetry, electrical wiring, CAD/architectural drafting, plumbing, HVAC, masonry.
- Manufacturing and Fabrication: Welding, machining, metals fabrication, materials processing
- Develop engaging, hands-on curriculum that emphasizes real-world applications and career readiness.
- Collaborate with colleagues and community partners to enhance opportunities for students.
Qualifications:
- Required:
- Minnesota teaching license in Construction Careers (300100) or Manufacturing Careers (300200).
- OR a relevant industry certification/license, degree, or five years of industry experience related to construction or manufacturing
