Salary Range/Hourly Rate: $40/hr
Programming Dates: Prep/PD week of June 23rd or 30th. Programming will run from July 7th to July 31st, 2025.
Work Days/Times: Programming days and times: Mon-Thurs from 7:45am-2:30pm. 30 minutes of prep time each day will be scheduled in the daily hours. Can be taken before or after programming times listed previously. (Dates, times and location may change based on student and/or District needs)
Programming runs Monday through Thursday. Pre-program professional development and site meetings will be held prior to the start of the first session and may be time above and beyond the hours scheduled per day during the program. Applicants chosen for an interview will be asked to provide a completed camp proposal form attached to the posting. Ideas for camps and an example of a completed template are also available in that link. You are able to submit a proposal for a 2 or 4 week camp of your choice. *Limited positions available.
Must be able to consistently work one or both of the following shifts during the program dates listed above.
– 7:30AM to 12:45PM
– 12:15PM -2:45PM
Student Level: Elementary and Middle School
Camp Summer Elementary Sites: North Star, Otter, Vadnais
Closing Date: Candidates will be reviewed upon submission with selection starting no sooner than five days following the posting. The position will remain open until a suitable candidate has been found.
Teacher Hours:
Schedule for pre-summer professional development and meetings will be determined by middle of May 2025.
Position Summary:
Seeking teachers interested in utilizing new, creative, and innovative ways to support student achievement through the development of a summer camp learning model. This position will lead Phy-Ed classes for all camp classrooms. Classes will be about 20 minutes/group. Pre-summer training, prep time, and meetings will be paid time; professional development and program design created in partnership with Student Support Services and Teaching & Learning.
Performs difficult professional work providing a broad range of teaching services or specific learning program, assisting students to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge needed as a foundation for future learning in accordance with each student’s ability, using a variety of teaching and learning methods at various levels to a targeted audience, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the limited supervision of the Principal. Occasional oversight is exercised over Paraprofessional or Volunteer.
Teachers will deliver small group and individualized instruction according to curriculum and plan guidelines; will maintain student records as it relates to student achievement including testing; will monitor student behavior.
Education and /or Experience:
BA/BS degree.
Special Requirements:
MN Teaching License required
