Licensed School Nurse: Summer Programming 2025
Salary Range/Hourly Rate: $40/hour

Dates of Employment: June 23rd to August 8th, 2025
Work Days: Proposed days: Monday-Friday per the Camp Summer/Summer U & Freedom Schools Calendar. Proposed times: 7:30/8:00AM to 3:30/4:30pm (Dates, times and location may change based on student and/or District needs)

Position Summary:
The White Bear Lake Area Schools is currently seeking a Licensed School Nurse (LSN) to work in our Camp Summer/Summer U and Freedom Schools program. The LSN will oversee student health needs and supervise third party billing requirements. More than one person may fill this position. Please apply if you have any availability this summer.
Performs difficult professional work to identify, remove and remediate health related barriers to learning and to ensure the health and safety of students and staff, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the limited supervision of Out of School Time Coordinator, Director of Community Services & Recreation and Camp Summer Site Coordinators. Programming oversight is exercised over Nurse-Paraprofessional and Health Assistant.
Education and /or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and minimal experience in community/public health, emergency or pediatric nursing, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Special Requirements:
Registered Nurse License and Public Health certificate (MN Board of Nursing) Minnesota
CPR/AED/First Aid Certification
School Nurse License
Bloodborne pathogen training
Medication Administration Training
PCA supervision (Preferred)
