Health Assistant: Camp Summer/Summer U 2024

Salary:  Level III Clerical or currently contracted clerical rate of pay. 

Closing Date: Candidates will be reviewed upon submission with selection starting no sooner than five days following the posting.  The position will remain open until a suitable candidate has been found

Summer Program Dates: July 7th -31st -August 01, Monday – Thursdays; pre-program meeting and prep available last two weeks in June. 

Work Week: 7 hours/day, 7:45am to 2:45pm (Prep time before or after as needed. Position sharing available!)

Position Summary:
Seeking health assistant to work at our elementary and middle school Camp Summer/Summer U sites. Will work under the direction of LSN, who will support multiple buildings.
Performs intermediate skilled human support work providing first aid and care to students with health needs, maintaining health information, administering medication to students, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the close supervision of the Licensed School Nurse, Building Principal and Director of Student Services.

Education and /or Experience:  
Education and Experience Associates/Technical degree with coursework in LPN or RN license strongly preferred, or related field and moderate experience working in health care or education field; word processing and data management systems, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Special Requirements:
First Aid and CPR certifications required. LPN license or health assistant experience preferred.
