Overall Objectives Provides counseling and guidance services to students in a nurturing environment following Yinghua Academy’s mission, core values, and principles.
The Elementary School Counselor will support the social, emotional, and academic development of all students, including those in general education and special education programs. This role is essential in fostering a positive school environment, promoting student well-being, and collaborating with teachers, parents, and support staff to create an inclusive atmosphere for all learners.
To manage day-to-day student discipline and behavior management issues for generaleducation students. Provide behavior intervention strategies to students and others asnecessary in all on-campus, online school environments, buses, and off-site activities.
School Social Worker
.5 FTE Guidance/Academic/SEL and Career Counselor
Responsible for helping students to develop social, emotional, and educational plans to meet individual learner needs. Also responsible for serving and supporting students through individual guidance and counseling, consulting with parents and staff. Work is performed under the supervision of the building principal.
