Special Education Paraprofessional
Hennepin Schools is looking for a compassionate, organized, and outgoing professional who is interested in working with children with special needs and whose goal is to help special needs children reach their full potential. This individual will work closely with parents and teachers to help students of all ages reach their goals. The successful candidate will be responsible for helping students understand the curriculum, as well as encouraging and supporting them in school related activities.
Provide paraprofessional services to students with disabilities who cannot function independently for all or part of the school day.
Provide support by working directly with students to increase their academic, social/behavioral, communication, and study skills under the direction of the teacher(s).
Great Oaks Academy is seeking Special Education Paraprofessionals to assist students with special needs under the direction of a certified teacher.
Responsible for providing direct and pull-out support in planning instruction and/or adaptations of the instructional program using intervention models to facilitate student learning in accordance with school policies. Design and implement specific strategies through the team process to promote intellectual, social, and physical growth in all identified students. Supports the instructional programs of regular and special education teachers.
Paraprofessional – Elementary Spanish Immersion Program
The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) is responsible for implementing intervention and therapy regarding students’ fine and gross motor skills and functional abilities (e.g. perceptual-motor, hand functions, motor coordination, sensory development, muscle strength, etc.) under the direction of the Occupational Therapist.
