SALARY: $61,598 – $63,336 (pro-rated based upon start date)

Job Summary:
The Transportation Safe Routes to School (SRTS) Supervisor is the Safe Routes to School coordinator under the shared direction of Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) and Rochester Public Schools (RPS). SRTS programs improve safety, reduce traffic, and improve air quality near schools through a multidisciplinary approach that is structured around evaluation, education, encouragement, equity, engagement, and engineering. The Transportation SRTS Supervisor is responsible for supervising assigned employees (or subcontracted employees) in the Transportation Department, primarily focused on those working to protect students daily on their commute to RPS, like crossing guards. The Transportation SRTS Supervisor is the main linkage between MnDOT and RPS for the SRTS statewide program. The Transportation SRTS Supervisor is the main linkage between Rochester-Olmsted Council of Governments (ROCOG) and RPS for implementation and maintenance of the regional transportation planning program.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Hospitality, Planning, Engineering, or other closely related field preferred.
Three (3) years of full-time equivalent professional work experience in a related field.
Ability to work effectively collaborate and communicate (written and verbal) with parents, students, staff, community partners and other stakeholders
Possesses excellent interpersonal and teaming skills
Skills in collecting and using data analysis to inform decision making
Possesses excellent organizational skills, self-motivation, and follow through
Knowledge of basic technology needed to complete assigned tasks 
A valid driver’s license or the ability to obtain a driver’s license in the State of MN by the employment start date.
Project management experience preferred
Community collaboration experience preferred
