9-12 Talent Development Programming Specialist
Eden Prairie School District is seeking applicants to serve as the Talent Development Programming Specialist 9-12. The Talent Development Programming Specialist has both content and instructional expertise in curriculum design and instructional best practices for gifted learners. The Talent Development Programming Specialist serves as a member of Learning and Innovation department working to align district mission, gifted program and building goals. The Talent Development Programming Specialist serves as a liaison between the Learning and Innovation department, site leadership teams, and teachers identified as part of the gifted program.

Required:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university.
- Current Minnesota teaching license.
Preferred:
- Master’s or advanced degree preferred
- School Counseling Licensure preferred.
Experience:
- A minimum of three (3) years of successful teaching experience with gifted and talented students
Qualifications:
- Leadership experience – preferably at the district/systems level
- Demonstrated experience and strength in the engagement of families of gifted and talented students
- Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in promoting equitable outcomes for underrepresented student populations in a gifted program
- Deep knowledge of and experience in:
- Innovative research based instructional strategies,
- conditions of learning,
- assessment driven Instruction,
- educational equity.
- Effective cross-cultural communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills for building an environment with a common instructional focus, promoting initiatives, and conveying expectations.
- Ability to design and deliver quality professional development for teachers and administrators.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate in a professional manner both orally and in writing.
- Demonstrated strength in organization, communication skills and efficiency in meeting deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to function as a positive collaborative member of a team.
- Demonstrated interest and engagement in professional learning and reflection.
- Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in promoting equitable outcomes for underrepresented student populations in a gifted program

Starting salary for 1.0 FTE BA: $46,248 and MA: $56,760; licensed teaching experience considered for higher placement (pro rated based on FTE)
