Student Patrol Advisor – Elementary

General Summary: To supervise and oversee the school patrol program.

Essential Functions:

• Recruit students for the program.

• Set up a schedule when students are to be on duty.

• Train new members-where to stand, how to hold the flags, etc.

• Help captains in making sure members are showing up for their duties.

• The 5th graders take over for the 6th graders early in the 4th quarter.

• Try to have three or four “thank yous” during the year. Also, a party at the end of the year.

• Be a source of encouragement to the patrol members.

• Have a policy for the members who don’t show up.

Qualifications: Preference to Minnesota Teaching License
