Preschool Teacher (Tamarack Nature Preschool) Part Time (8 hours a week)

Salary Range: $28-$34/ hr.  

Closing Date: Open until filled

Start Date:  September 9, 2024

Work Week: 8 hours/ week  (T/Th  8:00 am- 12:00 PM)

Location:   Tamarack Nature Center

Student Level: Preschool 3-4 year-olds

Position Summary:
Performs intermediate professional work providing a broad range of teaching services or specific learning program, assisting students to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge needed as a foundation for future learning in accordance with each student’s ability, using a variety of teaching and learning methods at various levels to a targeted audience, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the limited supervision of the Early Childhood Education Supervisor. Occasional oversight is exercised over Early Childhood Instructional Assistant.  (The Nature Center runs 90% outdoors in all seasons and in all weather)

Education and /or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in teaching, or related field and minimal experience working with creative curriculum and Teaching
Strategies Gold, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Special Requirements:
Minnesota State Teaching License in Birth-Age 3, pre-primary, Early Childhood Family Education and/or PreK-K.
2 years or more working experience in this area preferred.
