Preschool Paraprofessional – Substitute

Salary: Paraprofessional Class IV: $15.65 or above depending on qualifications

Locations: Alice Smith Elementary, Eisenhower Community Center, Eisenhower Elementary, Gatewood Elementary, Glen Lake Elementary, Harley Hopkins Family Center, Meadowbrook Elementary, Tanglen Elementary

Job Summary:
The Preschool Paraprofessional Substitute aids in classroom preparation and the supervision of children during activities in the Preschool program; gives individual attention and support to each child based on varying needs and abilities; maintains a safe, clean, organized classroom environment and performs other tasks and responsibilities as delegated by the supervisors.

Qualifications:
Education in and/or experience working with young children; understanding of preschool child development; good communication, cooperation, self-direction, and organizational skills; ability to work effectively with other staff members; punctuality and dependability
