Description

Kingsland Public Schools has a 1.0 FTE Physical Education Teaching Position available for the 2024-2025 school year.  

Candidates should hold or be eligible for a Minnesota teaching license.  Current K-12 physical education licensure with PK-12 developmental adaptive physical education (DAPE) licensure preferred. Additional licensure areas are a positive.  Occasional lifting of 20 to 40 pounds may be required. Provide physical education instruction to students in grades 7-12 and adaptive physical education instruction to students receiving special education services in grades PK-12.

Preferred candidate will possess or be willing to work towards proficiency in:

  • Experience with aligning curriculum, activities, and assessments to standards
  • Cooperative professional approach to teaching and learning
  • Experience with professional learning communities and PBIS
  • Experience with differentiating instruction
  • Strong classroom and behavior management
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Belief that all students can achieve and can meet high expectations
  • Multiple strategies used to ensure all learners achieve at the highest levels
  • Experience in coaching and/or extracurricular/advisory positions
  • MN licensure in K-12 physical education and developmental adaptive phy ed (DAPE)

Salary: Based on Master Agreement
