Shakopee Public Schools is looking for a 1.0 FTE Occupational Therapist (OT) to join the Early Intervention (birth-age 3) Special Education team. The Early Intervention Team’s primary worksite is Pearson Early Learning Center.Â
Job Summary:
The Occupational Therapist will join the Early Intervention (birth-age 3) Special Education Team. The person in this position will screen for and conduct evaluations for OT special education eligibility and services, complete referral intakes; develop Individual Family Service Plans as part of a team member; deliver services to children and their families in multiple settings including home visits, classroom collaborations with ECFE, child care, in a primary service provider model. The Early Intervention Team is participating in an EQIP (Evidence-based Quality Intervention Practices) Innovation with training and support provided by BrightWorks, a Minnesota Center of Excellence for Young Children with Disabilities
Qualifications:
- Valid MN License as an Occupational Therapist
- Previous experience preferred
- Experience with service delivery models in Early Childhood Special Education and Early Intervention preferred
- Ability to build successful relationships with students, parents, and staff
