We offer an early learning center for preschool and kindergarten students, including a community education center. This center includes many outdoor and indoor active learning spaces. Jefferson Elementary provides programming for grades 1-4; focusing on small group instruction, responsive classroom, STEM opportunities, and core curriculum.  We offer a middle school structure and environment for grades 5-8; focused on advisory, exploratory, and experiential learning opportunities.  Our high school is for grades 9-12; offering college, vocational, and work ready courses. We have many opportunities for fine arts and athletics for all students.  A Career Technical Education Center (CTE) provides students opportunities in automotive, welding, manufacturing, fabrication, engineering, construction careers, and cabinetry.                

Available Position – Middle School – 6th Grade – Social Studies Long-term Substitute                

Job Description:
Complete classroom duties as directed by the regular classroom instructor and building administration.

Preferred Qualities:
– Understanding of middle school philosophy and the teaming concept
– Understanding of state and national standers in social studies
– Understanding and experience in utilizing instructional best practices to engage middle level students in learning
– Understanding and experience in assessment and data driven decision-making          

Position Start/End Date:         
Approximate dates October 28 – December 10, 2024

Salary/Wage: 
Approved Long Term Substitute teachers are paid off of the base salary in the Teacher master agreement at the start of their assignment.
