Master Electrician

Position Start Date: ASAP
Days/Hours: 8.0 paid hours per day; 6:00am – 2:30pm
Rate of Pay: $48.14/hour. $49.00/hour starting July 1, 2023.
Responsible To: Director of Buildings and Grounds
Position Purpose: Under the direction and guidance of the Director of Buildings and Grounds, the Master Electrician plans electrical system additions or modifications for all buildings in the School District. This position installs, troubleshoots and repairs power, lighting and low voltage systems within the School District and performs preventive maintenance on electrical components according to the National Electrical and Fire Codes. Provides appropriate training in preventive maintenance and supervises the district’s Registered Unlicensed Electrician program.
Qualifications:
- Master Electrician License
- Valid State of Minnesota Driver’s License
- Minnesota Boilers License preferred
- Completion of formal apprenticeship program and at least three years on-site training and experience under the guidance of a licensed Electrician

Compensation and Yearly Duration of Employment: This position is posted as a full-time (40 hrs/week) twelve (12) month position. Eligible for benefits as negotiated with the Trades group and District 112. This position is eligible for overtime.
