The Reading Specialist works with students through our Schoolwide Title I program in small group or individual settings. This teacher is part of the overall AFSA community of teachers on the K-6 team.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate teaching area
- Valid MN teaching license or appropriate license in teaching area

Examples of Duties and Responsibilities:
- Displays comprehensive content knowledge
- Establishes a learning environment that sets high expectations
- Provides learning activities that are highly relevant, academically rigorous, engaging and connected to the appropriate curricular goals and standards.
- Follows advisory schedule daily.
- Provides timely and productive feedback and assessment for all students
- Develops challenging professional goals and strive to accomplish them
- Presents a professional image at all times
- Participates in school wide professional development goal setting
- Other duties as assigned
