POSITION AVAILABLE: Medical Careers Instructor (Part-time)

POSITION LOCATION: Southwest West Central Service Cooperative (SWWC) with placement in Luverne, MN.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: The Medical Careers Instructor will teach an introductory medical careers class and provide support to students that will be participating in a medical careers internship.   The instructor will also work closely with medical and health care businesses/organizations and make periodic site visits.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:   Bachelor’s Degree and Valid driver’s license are required. MN Medical Careers teaching license and MN teaching licensure from the Department of Education is preferred. Applicant must have a passion for working with high school age students, a background in the medical and healthcare field, strong technology skills, the ability to establish community partnerships, and the creativity to deliver the course so it is highly engaging for students.
 
CONTRACT/SALARY:   Part-time position for the 2023-2024 school year; working approximately 27 days during first semester with possible opportunity for additional days in second semester should enrollment indicate need.  Hours are 8:00am – 9:30am.  Beginning salary dependent upon education, qualifications, and experience.
