Summary
The Math teacher will provide instruction and supervision for secondary grade-level students. The Math teacher will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive Math curriculum according to the school’s program objectives to students; conducting instruction that is coherent, purposeful, and engaging; continually assessing student development and performance; preparing and providing feedback on student progress to students and families.

Responsibilities
- Design lesson plans with instruction to appropriate learning levels that reflect differentiation in student learning styles and abilities
- Use a variety of methodologies in teaching and instructing pupils, including lectures, demonstrations, discussions, lectures, and experiments.
- Prepares lessons that engage, and meet the individual needs and interests of students
- Adhere to and support a standards-based education
- Understand and utilize data to drive instruction.
- Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student performance.
- Maintain accurate, complete, and appropriate records.
- Supports Positive Behavior Interventions Supports (PBIS)
- Communicate, motivate, and build relationships with students
- Provide feedback to students and parents on a student’s progress at conferences and other meetings
- Actively participate in team meetings and Professional Learning Communities
- Integrate technology and media as appropriate to teach lessons that engage students and further enhance their knowledge.
- Value teaching in diverse cultural settings.
- Is a forward, solutions-based thinker.
- Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor
Qualifications
- The minimum of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
- A valid Minnesota Teacher's License (applicable level-area endorsements preferred).
- Professional verification of successful classroom teacher performance and/or student teaching experience.
