Hours & Schedule:
- 2:30-4:45pm
- Work 1 to 4 days a week, Monday – Thursday
- Programming runs September – April
- This is a part-time, at-will, non-benefited position
Salary:
Class III Range: $17.99 – $23.33/hour
Required Experience:
- 18 years or older
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working with youth
- Ability to transport self between work sites
Preferred Experience:
- Post-secondary coursework
- Experience working with youth with diverse needs including developmental, physical, and/or social-emotional needs
- Experience working with youth from socio-economic, diverse backgrounds
- Experience engaging youth in developmentally appropriate activities such as arts, sports, team building, outdoor and/or academic support
- Spanish, Somali, Pashto, Dari speakers
Job Description:
Under the general direction of the Site Lead, the Fusion Security position assists with transitioning students from school day to after school activity programming. Fusion Security personnel conduct hallway and bathroom sweeps to ensure students are safe and in assigned locations. Fusion Security personnel support small groups of students by providing sensory friendly spaces. They also join in daily Fusion team building activities and support student behavior during programming. Fusion Security personnel also track late pickups and work with the Site Lead to contact these families.

- Ability to work with students who have specific academic or behavioral needs to support their success in the program
Essential Duties
- Assist implementation of extended day learning experiences for students
- Conduct hallway and bathroom sweeps to ensure students are safe and in assigned locations
- Support small groups of students by providing sensory friendly spaces
- Participate in daily Fusion team building activities and support student behavior during programming
- Supervise students who have received an infraction until their ride arrives
- Work effectively with students serving as a positive role model, and assisting with redirection, proactive and non-exclusionary discipline
- Track late pickups and work with the Site Lead to contact families
- Create a safe, healthy, and welcoming environment for all students
- Participate in staff training and professional development opportunities
- Work effectively with students of different ages, abilities, and backgrounds
- Ensure accurate student attendance
- Other job duties as assigned or apparent
