Job Summary:Â Rochester Public Schools is seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Federal Grants Secretary. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating federal grant applications, ensuring compliance with all federal regulations, and maintaining accurate records. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilties:Â
- Assist in the preparation, submission, and management of federal grant applications and reports.
- Ensure all grant activities comply with federal regulations and guidelines.
- Order supplies and maintain inventory of these supplies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all grant-related documents and correspondence.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for non-public schools regarding federal grant inquiries and communications.
- Coordinate meetings, deadlines, and other key dates related to grant activities.
- Provide administrative support to the Director of Innovation, including drafting correspondence, tracking data, and managing calendars.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in office administration or related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a secretary or administrative assistant, preferably with experience in grant coordination or management.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with federal grant regulations and guidelines is a plus.
