Delivery Operator

The Fergus Falls Public Schools are seeking applicants for a full-time delivery operator position. This is a year-round position generally working 5:30 am-2 pm during the school year and 6 am – 2:30 pm during the summer months. This position has a benefit package that includes health insurance, life insurance, long-term disability insurance, 403b contribution, pension plan, along with sick and vacation leave. The 2024-25 wage range is from $20.09-20.74/hour – with longevity pay when eligible.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. Excellent human relations skills including  communicating with the staff and public
3. Incumbent must be able to lift 80 pounds.
4. Technical skills: Utilization of power equipment such as fork lift, tractors, snow throwers, mowers, and power tools
5. Valid drivers license
6. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the board may find appropriate and acceptable.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
The tasks listed below are not intended to limit other tasks that might reasonably be assigned as necessary.

1. Deliver and transport all food as required. Assist with unloading food service freight as needed.
2. Pick up and/or deliver supplies or freight for the district.
3. Transport financial deposits to the bank.
4. Transport mail to post office
5. Check delivery truck fuel and oil weekly and fill as needed.
6. Assigned custodial cleaning duties during the summer months.
7. Participate in in-service training programs and keep up-to-date with the “Employee Right to Know” program.

Background Check Upon Conditional Offer: Background checks are conducted upon receiving a conditional offer. Employees must complete a background check and are responsible for the background fee. A passing background is required.  Criminal convictions are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
