POSITION SUMMARY: The Data Accountability Coordinator oversees centralized enrollment and ensures compliance with federal and state reporting requirements. This role includes supervising a team of information systems professionals and interpreting data accountability statutes, regulations, and requirements to ensure accurate and timely submission of data to federal and state agencies. As a system administrator for Infinite Campus Online Registration, the Coordinator manages the online enrollment system, troubleshoots issues, and works with the team to support end users. Additionally, the role involves advising district leadership on compliance, training staff, and continuously improving data management processes to ensure accuracy, privacy, and security of student data, directly impacting district funding and accountability 
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The essential functions of this position may include, but are not limited to, the following fundamental duties:

  1. Oversee centralized enrollment and Federal and State reporting requirements. 
  2. Supervise and lead a team of information systems professionals, providing guidance, support, and mentoring to ensure efficient and effective performance.
  3. Interpret and apply federal and state data accountability and reporting statutes, regulations and requirements to prepare and submit data to federal and state agencies, encompassing MARSS, Ed-Fi, CRDC, DIRS, MCCC, Carl Perkins, OLL, etc. 
  4. Apply all applicable local, state, and federal statutes and rules to the district’s reporting and data keeping practices, including the recording of specialized student data in a private and confidential manner
  5. Lead the development and implementation of practices and procedures to update and validate data within the district’s student information system to minimize errors that may impact student data reporting and funding
  6. In coordination with the Information Systems team, train site and district staff in the appropriate local, state, and federal reporting practices, as well as district procedures and practices
  7. Serve as a system administrator for Infinite Campus Online Registration, including developing and monitoring the online enrollment system, as well troubleshooting system issues and supporting end users 
  8. Collaborate with other system administrators to integrate the district’s ticketing system seamlessly with both our online enrollment system and our departing student processes
  9. Support end users by providing access to student data through the use of the district’s student information system’s reporting tools when appropriate while adhering to the district’s procedures and policies relating to student data privacy and security.
  10. Advise district leadership on the local, state, and federal requirements as it relates to student data reporting
  11. Serve as a system administrator within the district’s student information system
  12. Work with department members and district staff to continuously improve and implement procedures for the effective collection, storage, retrieval, protection, and dissemination of student information in accord with the needs and policies of the school district and applicable local, state, and federal laws
  13. With collaboration from the Information Systems team, design, implement, and improve processes as it relates to student information, student data, and student records
  14. Other duties as assigned 

 
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (Specific training or job experience required before appointment):

  1. Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in Education, Information Systems, Data Management, or a related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in data reporting and validation within an educational setting, with proven experience leading federal and state reporting projects.
  3.  Proficient in working with student information systems, particularly Infinite Campus, including Online Registration, and other relevant systems.
  4. Strong understanding of local, state, and federal regulations governing student data reporting, with the ability to advise district leadership on compliance matters.
  5. Demonstrated expertise in data entry, validation, reporting tools, and troubleshooting system issues, with strong attention to detail.
  6. Ability to design, implement, and continuously improve processes related to student information and data management.
  7. Strong analytical skills for identifying and rectifying errors in student data and creative problem-solving abilities for procedure improvement.
  8. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with end users and convey complex requirements.
  9. Understanding of and adherence to district procedures and policies regarding student data privacy and security.
  10. Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement in data collection, storage, retrieval, protection, and dissemination processes within a team environment.

Salary Range: $72,000-$80,000
Work Days: 261 days/8 hours per day
