$15.65/hour

QUALIFICATIONS:       

  1. HS Diploma, aptitude and reliability to perform tasks.
  2. Demonstrated customer service and public relations skills.
  3. Ability to work independently and problem-solve.
  4. Ability and willingness to work flexible hours and shifts.
  5. Strong interpersonal and human relation skills.
  6. Ability and willingness to commit to the school district’s mission, beliefs, and strategic plan.
  7. Valid Drivers License.
  8. Current CPR and First Aid Certification.

 
REPORTS TO:    District Facility Use Coordinator
 
JOB GOALS:   To greet and direct patrons; maintain safe and orderly facilities; and promote a positive image of the Prior Lake-Savage Area School district and Community Education Services programs internally as well as with the public at large.  To provide a welcoming environment for facility user groups, community education instructors, and participants through responsive service to meet needs and requests as they arise. 
 
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Greet the public, facility user groups, and instructors and assist them to activities being held in the facilities, and help them with their needs and requests.
  2. Monitor scheduled non-school hour and weekend Community Education and community group activities in all buildings and community locations according to schedule given and modifications needed.  Respond to any safety or special concerns as they arise.
  3. Monitor indoor walking course and/or other special programs as needed.
  4. Assist Community Education Services staff and/or instructors with special events, room setup, takedown, technology, class supplies, equipment and handouts.
  5. Coordinate room needs with custodial staff and other designated staff.
  6. Double-check to make sure lifeguard is on duty at pool areas, when in use.
  7. Secure from Community Education Services office all class enrollment sheets, duplicated materials, and equipment and deliver to scheduled locations prior to class/activity start time.
  8. Collect all class enrollment sheets and other supplies from the instructor following the last class and deliver to the Community Education Services office in a timely manner.
  9. Collect fees and registrations from “walk-ins” and others and deliver to the Community Education Services office the following work day.
  10. Maintain positive working relationship with Community Education Services instructors, participants, custodial staff, community user groups, and building staff and report any concerns to supervisors.
  11. Independently assess challenging situations and figure out steps to correct and/or resolve the immediate situation.                  
  12. Report any irregularities, problems, incidents or safety concerns to supervisors and appropriate building staff immediately.
  13. Post class signs and any schedule changes at facilities and create a welcoming environment.
  14. Assist supervisors and support staff, in notification of scheduling changes and other tasks to ensure quality customer service.
  15. Attend staff meetings and trainings as scheduled.                                                   
  16. Perform other assignments and responsibilities as assigned by the District Facility Use Coordinator and/or designated representative.
