Do you gravitate toward the water? Do you want to get paid to do something you love? Teaching swimming is a perfect first job where you will practice your leadership and evaluation skills. Come be a part of helping some of our youngest learners with their new swimming skills while guiding older students in perfecting their strokes. 

The primary focus of the Water Safety Instructor will be to teach swim lessons and water safety to children and families ages infant to adult. Stillwater Community Education is an American Red Cross Authorized Provider for swim instruction and offers Parent/Child and Preschool Aquatics, Level 1-6 Learn-to-Swim curriculum and Adult swim lessons. Swim lessons are offered through the year with a large concentration of classes offered in the summer months, June-July. Hours are flexible and in the evening and weekends during the school year.

Certification includes learning how to understand and use course materials, how to teach swim lessons and evaluate your participants’ progress.
