Position: Associate Educator, full-time 

Compensation: Hourly, $15-$23/hour depending on experience, plus health insurance

Availability: 2022-2023 school year

Job Description:

The Associate Educator (AE):

  • Works with an individual students and small groups of students to implement lessons or practice in reading, writing, and math in person

  • Effectively motivates students to complete work and progress in their learning toward learning goals

  • Facilitates lunch and recess duty

  • Maintains a positive classroom culture by working effectively with students and staff of all backgrounds

  • Supports the development of English language development, positive behaviors and social/emotional skills, in accordance with students’ learning plans.  

  • Provides positive reinforcement and helps students build independence.

  •  Collaborates effectively with a variety of colleagues.

  •  Effectively collects and maintains evidence of student growth and other data.

 

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with preschool, elementary, or middle school students.

  • Can independently lead small groups and will be flexible and adaptive in problem solving to meet students’ needs

  • Excellent communication skills and will collaborate effectively.
