Effective immediately, the Human Resources Department will accept online applications for the position of Assistant Cook Manager at Lincoln Center Elementary School for the 2024-25 school year. The position works 7.5 hours per day; student-contact days only. Rate of pay is $21.55 per hour; Independent-Nutrition Services Group.

Job Summary
Perform a variety of assigned tasks in the area of preparation and serving meals to students and staff in the school under established rules, policies and procedures.

Job Functions
- Assemble, prepare, bake, and serve food items according to child nutrition guidelines, standardized recipes and directions from the Director and Assistant Director of Nutrition Services.
- Assume responsibilities of Cook Manager in his/her absence
- Assist with ordering and inventory including checking and storing deliveries
- Substitute as lead cashier as needed. Perform all cashier procedures from start up to day end
- Plan, prepare and manage breakfast service
- Assist with food preparation, service, cashiering, and production records
- Wash dishes, pots and pans, and other items in dish room
- Maintain a clean work area and handle food properly using procedures established in HACCP plans
- Utilize safety measures as it pertains to use and operation of equipment in the kitchen including utensils, knives, and other equipment
- Represent a positive public relations environment with customers
- Attend education classes, training classes and or workshops as required
- Other duties as assigned by Director or Assistant Director of Nutrition Services

- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Current Certified Food Manager preferred. If do not have will need to get in the first 90 day of hire.
- Management experience preferred
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work well with others
- Experience with high volume, scratch food preparation and service
- Knowledge and experience following child nutrition guidelines
- Ability to perform routine computer functions, including the use of email, Internet navigation, food service specific software and Google applications
- Demonstrated prompt, regular and reliable attendance
