We provide a convenient and cost-effective way to connect with potential candidates for your educator positions.

Who attends

Minnesota School Jobs focuses on attracting participating candidates who are:

  • From underserved and underrepresented populations.
  • New and veteran educators.
  • Licensed educators that are working in other fields.
  • Alternate careers  / career-changers.
  • Out-of-state educators.

Historically, between 200 and 600 candidates register for each virtual job fair. 65% to 75% of candidates creating a profile attend our virtual job fairs.

Virtual Job Fairs are a cost-effective and time-efficient way to meet qualified candidates.  No travel fees. include all of your recruiters – central administrators, building leaders, department heads. Anyone that can connect and tell your story to potential employees. Plus, you have continued access to the candidate database as a recruiting source for future staffing needs.

Having a virtual booth allowed us to connect with many educators who likely never would have given us a look. The platform allowed me to host dozens of video chats that felt similar to a physical booth at a fair.

I had control over the platform. It was user-friendly. I like that I was able to view their resume on the side and ask questions based on it. It was smooth.

I spoke to 50 people in 3 hours. It was awesome. Easy to use. Efficient. Loved it.

To me, in many ways, it was even better and more efficient than in person.  We were able to put our full attention and focus on the individual virtual visits and did not worry about missing candidates as they walked by.

How it works for employers

  1. Register: Complete our online registration form. Payment by credit card or check. 20% discount for registering at least three weeks before the event.
  2. Set up your booth and assemble your representatives (recruiters): Within four weeks of the event date, the designated district contact(s) will receive an onboarding email with a guide on how to set up the virtual booth for the best candidate experience, a FAQ on managing the booth, and key dates for live training.  This guide will include live “booth owner orientation” sessions to learn how to customize their booth and plan for a successful job fair (recording available afterward).
  3. Prepare: Employer representatives recruiting at the event will also have live opportunities to participate in special training sessions to instruct them on using pre-event resources to recruit and effectively engage during the live event.  Training will provide best practices for communication and assessment of candidates and walk participants through how to use the screening tools available to identify the best potential talent for your organization.
  4. Recruit Early: Before the virtual job fair, employer representatives have access to the candidate spreadsheet showing profiles that can be easily filtered to narrow down based on traits like desired geographic area, positions, licensure, etc. Employer representatives may invite candidates to schedule chats during the live event beginning three days before the live event. Representatives for Gold-level employers will have access to scheduling chats ten (10) days before the live event. The early access to candidates is a powerful tool that helps you gauge how to staff your booth and reach out to candidates that fit your needs to make a connection.
  5. Attend: Each representative will log in between 3:00 and 6:00 pm on the day of the live event and connect with candidates for scheduled and unscheduled chat interactions.  Each chat has a 10-minute timer and will start as a text interaction.  Representatives can extend the chat time and can invite the candidate to video chat.
  6. Follow-up:  Employer representatives have continued access to the database of all candidate profiles.  Representatives can also access chat transcripts and performance reports from the event.
